EMPLOYERS' STAND ENDORSED
At yesterday's meeting of the Wel- | lington Central Chamber of Commerce in- the afternoon (Mr. Leigh Hunt in the chair) members spoke in strong terms regarding the attitude taken up by the men on strike, and the following motion was passed :—": — " That the Wellington Central Chamber of Commerce in general meeting assembled heartily endorse the stand taken by the shipping companies and the Harbour board in regard to the attitude adopted by the Wellington waterside workers in breaking their signed agreement."
