AT THE BATTLE OF TRAFALGAR

NELSON'S MANOEUVRES. (By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright.) LONDON, 21st tlctober. The Admiralty Committee has published plans and other evidence relating to Lord Nelson's "touch" at the Battle of Trafalgar— how his 27 ships were manoeuvred so as to establish a marked superiority over the enemy's 33 ships at the point of impact, piercing the line at the centre, and overwhelming the*' enemy with gun fire before the van thus cut off could attack or wear. This manoeuvre is attributed to Rodney in its first appreciation. Tho plans largely confirm Mr. J. R. Thursfield's articles on the subject in The Times in 1905.
