HEREAWA HOCKEY CLUB
♦ • A large attendance of members and friends attended the third annual smoke concert of the Hereawa Hockey Club held at Lyall Bay on Monday evening. Mr. H. Bruce occupied the chair. The usual toasts were honoured, and the trophies won during the season were presented as follow : — Beat forward, R. Caterer; most improved forward, F. J. Kuch ; best back, C Clementeon ; most improved back, W. H. Hilford. Items | were presented by the following : — — Song 6, C. Clementson, R. Caterer, and H. Bruce; recitations, B. Henderson, W. H. Trilford, and F. J. Kuch. A letter of apology was read from Mr. J. C. Cusack ; vice-president, who was to have preeid«d. Several of those present promised to donate trophies next season.
