AUCTION AND PROPERTY SALES

Messrs. J. H. Bethune and Co. will hold, on Thursday next, at 1 p.m., in the estate of the late H. C. Watson, a furniture sale at the residence No. 144, Clyde-quay. Catalogues will be posted to any address on application. On Wednesday, 29th inst., at 2.30 p.m., at their rooms, the firm, under instructions from the public trustee, are selling a number of properties in the estate of the late Micaiah Read. These comprise a corner property, Adelaide-road and Hospitalroad, having frontages of 60ft. and 242 ft. respectively, together with nineroomed residence, No. 175, Adelaideroa'd, thereon. On Thursday, commencing at 1.30 o'clock, they will hold a sale of salvage gear, material, etc., at the Harbour Board J Shed, Waterloo-quay. Messrs. A. L. Wilson and Co. will hold a sale of household furniture at their rooms on Wednesday, at 1.30 p.m. On Thursday, at 2 o'clock, they will sell a consignment of linen napery, etc. On the 12th November, at 12.15, at their rooms, they will offer two properties situated Clyde-quay, having a frontage of 654 ft x 182 ft; also a property at Taranaki-street, having a frontage of 51ft with' a depth of 104 ft to Yorkstreet. Messrs. C. W. Price and Co. will hold an auction sale of household furniture and oak cabinet- gramophone, at their rooms on Tuesday.' On Wednesday they are selling on the premises, 30, Jessie-street, the household furniture, organ, otc., and on Friday and Saturday the firm will sell at their rooms, by order of holder of bill of lading, 1456 pairs ladies' and children's boots and shoes. Mr. If. Ernest Leighton, under instructions from Mr. M. J. Schneideman, will offer a Kelburno residence, known as No. 58, Central-terrace, at the Chamber of Commerce, on Monday, at 2.30 p.m. Also, on Wednesday, at 11 o'clock, he will offer at public auction the furniture and effects at this house. Mr. Leighton also inserts details of a number of Hutt properties. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company will hold a stock sale at Pahautanui on 21st October. Messrs. Mounsey and Co. will sell, at Palmerston North, on Tuesday, household furniture, on behalf of Dr. O'Brien. Full particulars are advertised in this issue.
