DIVORCE PETITION FAILS
THE PATEKSON CASE. .VERDICT FORT RESPONDENT. (n?\ TELEGBAFH— PKESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, 29th August. The hearing of the suit for divorce brought by William Henry Paterson against Mabel Kathleen Paterson and Gustav . Kronfeld (cp-respondenU was concluded at the Supreme Court to-day before his Honour Mr. Justice Edwards and a jury of twelve. > The jury retired at 3.30 p.m., the issues put to them ■to decide being :— (1) Was Mrs. Paterson guilty' of misconduct with co-respondent? and (2) was the co-respondent guilty of misconduct with Mrs. Paterson? After an absence of about an hour and a-half the jury returned with a negative . answer to each issue, and a verdict for Mrs. Paterson. The decision was unanimous, and the petition was accordingly dismissed. The Court made an order for costs against Paterson on the highest scale, and certified to an extra allowance for counsels' fees of £15 15s for each of the 1 three extra days of the trial. Costs as regards the issue of the commission to take corespondent's evidence were also entered up against Patorson on the middle scale.
