MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. The weekly meeting of the Manage* ment Committee of the Wellington Football Association was held last evening, Mr. J. B. Paton presiding. As the Manawatu team, which was to play .Wellington next Saturday, could not come down unless the game was started early in order to allow them to j return to Palmerston North the same I day, the match was declared "off." The committee recently, informed Manawatu that they could not agree to play earlier than 3 p.m. . A request from the V.M.C.A. Club to the effect that their third division team be allowed to visit ' Christchurch on Labour Day, the 27th October, to play a match with a Burnham Industrial School team, was granted, provided per« mission is obtained from the New Zealand Association Council. A letter was received from the Marlborough Boys' Football League asking if possible to arrange their match with a Wellington boys' team for the 6th September. They would in that ease leave Blenheim on Thursday, the 4th, and return on the'foliowing Monday.— Referred to the Boys' Sub-Committee. The Wanderers' Club nofified that it had been decided to withdraw their team from the First Division Charity Cup competition. In connection with the deputation of sports bodies which is to wait on the Prime Minister at noon on Monday next concerning the Daylight Saving Bill, it was decided that all members of the committee attend.
