Mr. Bernard E. Page, the newly appointed City Organist, arrived from London by the Rotorua to-day He called upon the Mayor (Mr. J. P. Luke) immediately on arrival, Mr. Page comes to take up his post in Wellington witH most Battering proofs of his ability as an artist ot the orpan^ He has held important organistBhipsin London, at tho Carmelite Church, Kensington, and at St. Anne's, Vauxhall. But apart from his experiences with church musio of a very high order,, Mr. Page has earned metropolitan distinction as a solo performer, and for this high praise from such authorities as Dr. C. V. Pearce (London University), Professor D'Evry (Trin ity College), and Professor Bantock Pierpoint (Guildhall School of Music).
