GOOD WIEELEBS RECORD. According to a report received at the head Office of the German Australian Line a good wireless record was recently accomplished by the operator on the steamer Fremantle. Whep that vessel was on the last Homeward voyage from Australia the captain arranged with the wireless station at Western Australia to test the range of his equipment, and the result was that communication was made at a distance of 2950 sea miles. , WITHIN WIRELESS RANGE. Foster by auction at Suva on Tuesday next, together with donkey boiler, pumps, anchors, and chains. The masts, spars, and boats are, however, not included. The hull is stated to be in good order, and is estimated to carry about 1200 tons of cdal. The Lyman D. Foster was dismasted and abandoned during a hurricane in the Fiji group some weeks ago and towed to Suva. itecordibg to advice received locally the Blackball Coal Company's new collier is named the Ngakuta and not Ngakawa aa previously announced. On account o! the exceptionally large cargo to put out at Auckland the Tyser Hner Star of India, en route from London, will not reach Wellington before next Sunday week. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Rakata is due to sail from Sydney to-morrow in continuance of her voyage from St. John to Wellington, via Auckland. She is due at this port about the 7th July.
