At a meeting of the directors of Kempthorne, Prosser, and Co.'s New Zealand Drug Company, held to-day, it was resolved to increase the capital by . the issue of 35,000 new shares of £2 each, of which it is intended to call up £1, the calls being spread over twelve months. The premium upon this ißsue will be 2s 6d'per share, payable on application. ANXIOUSLY AWAITING RAIN AUCKLAND, 7th March. Farmers in all parts of the province are awaiting rain anxiously. Reports from the Various centres Btate that the grass is disappearing rapidly, while country settlers are badly in need of heavy rain to replenish their supplies.
