"Motorist" writes to The Post complaining that the Hutt Borough Council has "ripped up the better half of the main road at Lower Hutt and then left it and the worst portion of the road as it is, so that the road, which was bad enough before, is now worse than ever. "Motorist," however, will evidently have to "grin and bear it" t : 11 the council's scarifier arrives some time at the beginning of April, when the whole of the road will be repaired. It may be further explained that the council commenced the works some weeks ago, but discontinued it in anticipation of the arrival of the scarifier, which will do the work much cheaper and better. Tho annual statutory meeting of members of the Wellington Harbour Board will be held at the board office on Monday, 17th inst., at noon. The business for the meeting is consideration and adoption of the annual statements and reports for the year ending 30th September, 1912. Wellington Ladies !
