The telegraph messengers -threaten to cease work on Monday unless their wages are raised. They also demand ft half-holiday weekly, the half-day for drill not being considered satisfactory. They have also formed a union. MIDLAND RAILWAY TROUBLE. LONDON, 7th March. The directors of the Midland Railway consider Richardson's case to-day. All the newspapers urge a re-ballot on the question of his reinstatement. BELGIAN SOCIALISTS. ' BRUSSELS, 7th March. The Socialist delegates have withdrawn their threat of a general strike. The Government has promised to study the question of electoral reform.
