HUTT FOOTBALL CLUB
The annual meeting of the Hutt Football Club (late Waiwetu) was held last night. Mr. M. W. Welch presided. Messrs. Weir and Hardham, representatives of the Rugby Union, were present, and strongly urged the club to stick to the Rugby Union. It was resolved to change the name of the club from tho Waiwetu Football to the Hutt Club. On the motion of Mr. Doig it was resolved to forward the following resolution : — "That this club strongly protests to the Hutt Borough Conncil for giving the Northern League, who are not all. Hutt players, preference for the Recreation Ground, and asks it to reconsider its decision." Officers were "footed as follow for the ensuing years: — Patron. Mr. E. P. Bunny ; president/ Mr. J. Inglis ; vicepresidents, Messrs. R. Quin, . V. Riddiford, Harris, Donne, J. C. Bell, R. Dwyer, Hadfieid, T. C. Dawson, Clendon Bros., and Kempthorne ; club captain, Mr. J. Inglis; secretary, Mr. R. Aldersley ; treasurer, Mr. E. Aldersley ; auditor, Mr. J. Swain ; management committee, Messrs. T. Quin, W. Doig, R. Chapman, W. Tressider, S. Fawcett, H. G. Geinmell ; delegate to _ Rugby Union, Mr. T. Quih.
