The Hon. F. M. B. Fisher is at Auckland, the Hon. W. H. Herries at Gisborne, and the Hon. W. Fraser is due in Wellington from the south to-morrow. The other Cabinet Ministers are in Wellington. Senior-Sergeant Darb is leaving for Auckland, and Mrs. Dart received a present from the Tlnaru Force yesterday as a token of tl'e esteem in which her husband was held. Sub-Inspector Cruickshanks and his comrades spoke I very highly of the departing officer. Mr. J. Conlin, sub-foreman of the photo litho. branch of the Government Printing Office, is , retiring from the service, with which he has been connected for 46 on a well-earned pension. Yesterday evening Mr. D. Ross, 011 behalf of the staff, presented Mr. Conlin with an illuminated address and a travelling rug. In doing so he referred to Mr. Conlin's many sterling qualities, and exhoTted the younger members ol the staff to endeavour to follow in hi 6 steps, and cultivate that strict cense of duty and integrity that had placed Mr. Conlin in the position from which he was retiring. These remarks were endorsed by several other members of the staff, and Mr. Conlin's health was drunk ■with musical honops. Mr. Conlin, with his wife and family, leaves shortly for Australia, where he intends to spend a long holiday. Sir G. Maurice O'Rorke, who is shortly leaving on a visit to the Old Country, will be the recipient of a public presentation beforo' his departure.
