The Anglican Benedictine Order, on. the Island of Caldey, being unable to accept the conditions on which the Bishop of Oxford (Dr. Gore) would accept the episcopal visitorship, has decided to a6i? for admission into the Roman, Catholic Benedictine Order. [The Benedictine Community establish, ed on the Island of Caldey, off the Peabrokeshire coast, came into being in the year 1895.] THIRTY MONKS SECEDE FROM ANGLICAN CHURCH. ALSO NUNS AtUiLFORD HAVEN. (Received February 27, 9 a.m.) ' LONDON, 26th February. Thirty of the monks at Caldey will join the Church of Rome. The younger members refuse to join. The Anglican nuns of St. Bride's, Milford Haven, except two, wDI also join the Catholic Churcn.
