MILITARY WEDDING LADY EDWINA ROBERTS

Lady Edwina Roberts, daughter of Field-Marehal Earl Roberts, was to-day married to Major H. J. Lewin. It was a military wedding. There was a notable congregation and a great crowd in the streets. [Earl Roberts, who married, in 1859, Nora Henrietta, daughter of Captain John Bews, 73rd Regiment, has had two eons and four daughters.' The eldest son died the same day he was born in 1869, and the second eon was killed during tho Boer War. On Lord Roberts'e return to England, Queen Victoria conferred an Earldom on him, with special remainder to his two surviving daughters, the others having died in infancy. The elder, Lady Aileen Roberts, who wns born in 1870 and is unmarried, is the heir-presumptive to the Earldom, and should 6he remain unwedded the title wcfuld fall to Lady Edwina, born in 1875. Major Henry Frederick Elliott Lewin is a year or two older than his fiancee, is the eon of Commander Lewin, R.N., and has been employed with the Egyptian Army for a number of yeare, having joined as a second lieutenant in April, 1894, after serving two years in th© Londonderry Artillery Militia.
