At a meeting of the Managing Committee of the Wellington Boxing Association on Monday t evening, *Mr. B. A. Giiise in the- chair, it K was decided td put up Ellis and; Thompson for the professional event at the carnival On Easter Tuesday night, tt was reported that there was a probability that the committee of the University Tournament would agree to hold its contests in the .same hall on the same nights, in conjunction with the Boxing Association's programme.- • The Gr&unds Committee of the Easter 'Carnival v held a meeting last evening, when 'the .following were present: Mr. ] W. H. Morton (chairman), Hon. J. E. Jenkinson, ■ Councillors • Frost and Fletcher. Messrs! W. F. Ward, de Castro, H. M'lntosh, W. D. Murdoch, and H. P. Hanify: Captain Frandi (chairman of the - Physical Drill Committee) and' Scoutmasters Edmanson, Myers, and Lloyd, also a attended. It was reported that t ihe . fence at Newtown Park- was in hand, ah"d arrangements had been .niade to have the telephone fixed.
