The Management Committee of the Northern Football League has decided to warn players that it is, determined to suppress betting. Northey Smith, a bookmaker, of Edinburgh, was fined £100, in default two months' imprisonment, for football coupon betting competitions,' and William Hodgson was similarly fined for the same offence.
