SCOTT MEMORIAL FUND
CHRISTCHUECH. 25th Feb. At a small public meeting yesterday a eominitteo was set up to promote a national New Zealand memorial to Captain Scotfc and his companions who perished in the Antarctic. Forty pounds was subscribed in tho room. A theatrical carnival, organised by the Williamson Comic Opera Company in aid of the Captain Scott National Fund, held at Lancaster Park yesterday afternoon, was largely attended, and produced a proßt of £454.
