According to a cable received by the local agents the Shaw-Savill steamer Mamari, which sailed from Wellington on the 2nd' February for London, left Rio do Janeiro en route last Monday, 24th inst. MAITAIvTO ENTER EAST COAST v^ RUNNING. Next week the Maitai, which has been laying up at Port Chalmers since she was taken off the intercolonial run, is to enter the East Coast service in place of the Tnrawrra. The Miiitai, which is due here from the south on Thursday, Cth March, will Bail for Auckland the same day. She will remain in the run for some time. STAR OF ENGLAND DELAYED. The Tyser steamer Star of Enpland was ready to sail for London at daybreak this morning, but as she was short of firemen, her departure was delayed. She accordingly -anchored in the stream, and awaited a full complement of men. The vessel took in the following cargo at Wellington :—3930: — 3930 hales ten6t, 1647 bales' flax. 222 casks talloiv, 27 casks pelts, 1100 sacks peas, 25 casks casings, 1 box sundries. BRACTNTELS LOADING AT NEW YORK. Advice has been received by Messrs. Dalgety and Co., to the effect that the .cargo steamer Braunfels was to have commenced loading at New York yesterday under the auspices of the U.S. and A. Line. She is fixed tp sail about the middle Of March for Wellington, via Melbourne, Sydney, and Auckland. From this port she proceeds to tyttelton, Tiraaru, and Dunediu to complete discharge. Wireless information has been received. that the Moana is expected to arrive in Wellington at 5 o'clock to-morrow morning. The Haupiri is due here this evening from Onehunga apd New Plymouth. Her departure for Picton, to load chaff for Onehnnga, has been fixed for to-morrow. . . ' En route from St. John to Wellington, via Australian ports and Auckland, the New Zea-land-Shipping Company's 'chartered steamer Tokomaru arrived at Sydney yesterday after discharging .part cargo at Melbourne. Departure from the New South Wales port ,will be taken on Saturday' 1 , next f6r Auckland, tho vessel being due here about the 10th March. The collier Koonya will leave Greymouth this evening for Wellington, while the Kamona left Westport at midnight last night for this port. The Koromiko'is due back- here on Friday; the Komatu will sail to-morrow afternoon for Westport, and the Kurow for Picton on Friday. The Kahu left Wellington this morning far Picton to load chaff for the East Coast. Hlie will take in wool at the various bays for Wellington, nnd is due back next Monday. The Marine Department was to-day advised that the Government steamer Hlnemoa arrived at Capo Brett this morning, and is -due at Russell this afternoon.' She sails from the latter port tb-morrow in continuation of her trip round the ndrthprn- lighthouses. After taking a cargo' of coal from Puponga to Picton the Arapawa is due here on Sfttarday next. She is to sail on Monday for Wanganiii. the barquentine Koko Head, which' arrived in Wellington some time aco with' a big load of timber from Ptiget Sound, sailed this afternoon for Port Townsend ,a lumber. port in the State of Washington, U.S.A. The, Breeze is due at Timaru to-morrow from Wanganui, via Lyttelton, with a load of cattle. She sails again the same evening for Dnnedin. At, the latter port she will take in a general cargo, and will then ' proceed to Timaru to load produce* for Wellington nnd Wanganui. v The St6rm was to have sailed from Timaru last evening with a load of 1000 sacks of produce for Picton and AVanganui.
