The- Meteorological Office reports this afternoon s— Prospects are for moderate to strong northerly winds ; fair to, cloudy 'wither j mild and hazy conditions generally. A westerly squall area is due in the South Island in about twenty-four hfiirs.. and there is a possibility of westgrJ.x .winds in Cook Strait.
