CAMBRIDGE'S PROPOSAL. By Telegraph.— Press Association.-— Copyright. LONDON, 24th February. Many University authorities welcome, with modifications, the proposal of Cambridge University to make the granting of degrees conditional upon a certain degree of military efficiency being attained. Others object to making the degree* dependable upon military training. Some ."fijggest that they might confer certain privileges upon those undergoing training. The Daily News saye that for a University authorised by the State to de* dare that no man could have knowledge unless he became a Boldier would be blackmail and treason to science.
