WATER-POLO
FIRST ROUND CONCLUDED. The- first round of the water-polo match was concluded at Te Aro Baths last evening, when Old' Boys had a decisive victory over Wellington. This makes tho position'of the teams -in the competition as fpllows : Old Boys (two wins, one draw), 6 ; Swifts \one win, one draw), 3; Thorndon (one win), 2; Wellington (one win), 2. The second round will be commenced this .week, and Old Boys are due to meet Swifts on Thursday. Last night's match was exciting, , but not brilliant. It was a ons sided affair, for Old Boys won by 10 goals to 2. Capper, who played an excellent game, scored 7 goals for the winners, Newman 2, and Levy 1. Hanna and Morpeth scored for Wellington. Mr. G. Sadd was referee.
