ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL
The sixth annual meeting of- the Thistle Association Football Club was held, last evening,' Mr. G. Stevens, presiding Over a large attendance. The annual report, wh?ch was read by the secretary, showed that the past season had been a most gratifying one, the team being well up to the usual standard. The club had been well represented in all representative games. The finances were also in a sound position, there being an appreciable margin of assets over liabilities. Special thanks were due to Mr. W. Stevens for his financial and moral support, while Mr. G. Stevens, the president, vice-presi-dents, and members of the outgoing committee were also thanked for thenpractical interest in the welfare of the club. In conclusion the "report referred to the deaths of Mr. A. Dixon and Mi. C. Stevens, who were associated with the club since its inception. ' It was decided to enter "-a first division eleven' for the coming season and to leave the question ot entering a second division team in the hands of the management committee. , It was resolved to write to the W.F.A. asking that the names of nominees for the annual ( election to the committee be in tho hands of the Thistle Club at least seven dayss before the date of .the election. The object of this is to enable the club , to instruct ' the delegates how to vote at the annual meetfcfe oi" the W.F.A. Officers lor the ensuing year were elected as follows :— Patron, Mr. 'C."D. M'lntosh; president, Mr. G. Stevens; vice-presidents, 20 ; ■ secretary, Mr. J. M'Ardle; treasurer, Mr. J. Croal; manageirteht committee, Messrs. J. Robertson, W. M'Smith, W. Stevens, J. IVPLellan, D. Hendry, D. Smith, J. Smith, W. J. H. Reynolds; delegates to W.F.A., Messrs. G. Stevens, J. M'Ardle, W. J. H. Reynolds ; selection committee, Messrs. J. M'Lellon, D. Smith, W. M'Smith, J. Robertson, D. Hendry ; club captain," Mr. W. M'Ardle; trainer, Mr. J. M'Ardle.
