The pilot, at Cmminghame, 201 iriilas east of Melbourne, reports that the beach ia strewn with fruit caaee. Tho aborigines leport that th-.-y saw a man clinging to a lifebuoy, but the «tory requires confirmation. Recently the steamer Levuka, from Fiji, dumped 8000 ease* of condemned bananns into tho t»ea. which probably accounts for the wreckage.
