CIVIC CHURCH PARADE
CHRISTCHURCH, ' 23rd Feb. , The first municipal Church parade here was held -this morning at the Anglican' Cathedral, but was marred, somewhat by rainy weather. It was attended , by between fifty .-and sixty of those connected with the municipality as well as, by 'a. fairly large number' of the public, in addition to the Mayor and a number of city,'- councillors, and heads of departments and employees. Tha Mayors of Sumner, Riccarton, and Spreydon' were* also present. Bishop Julius preached an, interesting sermon on the. duties' of citizenship and extended a welcome to the Mayors and •councillors.
