FORECAStr. At 9 a.m. to-day the foßowing forecast was issued for the subsequent 2& hours:— Winds. — Northerly winds prevailing, moderate to strong and increasing, norfchwftrd of New Plymouth and Napier; westerly, strong to gale at times, elsewhere. Barometer.— Falling tendency everywhere. Sea.— Hough in Cook and Boveatlx Straits, between Castlepoint and Kailaoura; and on the west coast of the South Island; moderate elsewhere. Tides.^Good generally. ' Warning signals for westerly gales are exhibited at Capes Campbell, Farewell Spit, and Foulwind, and at Stephen Island, Nugget Point, and Centre Island.
