CONCILIATION BOARD AWARD. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. LONDON, 21st September. Lord S. Aldwyn, President of the Welsh Coal Conciliation Board, has settled the outstanding disputes in South Wales and Monmouthshire in favour of the men. The pieceworkers' contentions were upheld, and a minimum wage of 4s 7d per day granted in all cases, the award not being restricted to a number of days exceeding seven in three months when a man is working away from his usual working place. Lord St. Aldwyn decided that the 4s 7d rate should be continued when other work is given to men unable to earn full wages on piecework. STRIKE OF ENGINEERS' APPRENTICES. LONDON, 21st September.
