GRAIN AND PRODUCE
Ist TBI/BOBAPH— PBESS ASSOCIATION.} CHRISTCHTJRCEt, 20th September. There is no movement to record in the local grain market, whicli again is very quiet. Practically nothing is offering from the country. There is no enquiry for wheat Millers, who bought heavily in the early part of the season have since only been baying sparingly. The only market for oats of any importance is the United Kingdom. The quantity of shipping space available is so .small that this outlet cannot be taken advantage of. Tho potato market is easier. Buyers are now offering only £6, through few growers aie willing to sell under £6 lOs. Supplies in the cotlntry are evidently getting short, as lots now offering consist of only a few tons of each. The Australian demand has fallen off for the time being, and the northern market ib afcill jvell supplied.. , "
