MELBOURNE HIDES SALES. MELBOURNE, 19th September. Hides were in fair supply, and there was a keen demand at to-day's sales. Prices were per lb higher. SILVER. (Received September 20, 10.10 a.m.) LONDON, 19th September. Bar silver is quoted at 29id per ounce standard. / • UPPER HUTT STOCK SALES. Dalgaty and Co., Ltd., report that at their fortnightly stock sale, held at the Upper Hutt yesterday, there was a good yarding of cattle, which met with keen competition. Praotically everything went out of the yards was sold. They quote the following prices: Yearling heifers, £3 Is to £3 2s; yearling Bteers, £2 15s to £3 2b; springing heifers, £4 17s 6d to £5 ss; springing cows, £3 15s, £4 17s 6d, £6 12a 6d, £6 lbs, £7; cows in milk, £4 17s 6d to £7 15s; store cows, to £3 12s 6d; bulls, to £4 15s.
