TRAM FARES

He has drawn a vivid picture of how the overlapping sections might be dealt with in a businesslike w&y. Little can be added to his letter, so well has he dealt with the problem under review. Personally I can substantiate, in toto, that a very large number of passengers are desirous of seeing overlapping sections" brought into operation, and it arranged, judiciously much satisfaction \sould result. lam led to believe, from one who has studied the question, that Wellington is the only city ' in tho world where the suburban residents have been penalised by its City Council, by having a. long penny section, in the city, and short penny sectiohs to the suburb*.-! am, etc., HOMNgOS| 19th September, 1912.
