THE NEW THEATRE.
Gratifying business was done at .the New Theatre yesterday, when the special' attractions were pictures of " The Colleen Bawn " and " The Battle Hymn of the Republic." The, latter makes a strong . appeal to ladies, even more effectively than "East, Lynne.", A new programme, was screened to-day, . the, star film_ telling the adventures ,of a> lady detective. The supporting pic-, tures are also first-class. Next "^londay a phenomenal picture, , " From the Bottom of the Sea, will be screened. The plot deals with the treacherous sink- < in" Of ' a United States submarine t torpedo boat, and shows a . sensational methoo^ of saving the imprisoned crew. The picture is considered one of the most remarkable ever taken. '
