DEFENCE CASES
[BX TELEGRAPH— PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The Magistrate, Mr., Baily, this morning upheld counsel's' contention in a number of Defence cases that youths who had failed to take the oath could not be convicted for failing to render service. Those who took the oath, however, were .required to render service.
