MUSICIANS' SALARIES CASE FOR CONCILIATION COUNCIL.

AUCKLAND, Bth July. A somewhat unique case comes before the Conciliation Council to-morrow morning, and will constitute the first dispute of the kind heard in Auckland. An award is being sought by the Musicians' Union, and the parties have each appointed their assessors. Tho demands made by the union have already been published. They provide for a minimum salary of £3 ncr week and 10s for each matinee, working hours, overtime, and working conditions generally. The Auckland Musicians' Union consists of 75 financial members.
