The first Church of England Men* Society Hostel to be erected in Australasia, situated in Symonds-street, was opened this evening by Bishop Croesley. During the course of a sermon at St. Paul's, the Bishop referred to boardinghouses. " Boardinghouses," he eaid, have much to answer for." They found very few facilities for young men who wished to worship God. The proprietors did not care to arrange meals to fit in with church services, and young men had no friend, brother, or parent to offer a word oi warning in time of need.
