AVIATORS' RACE
FIRST. AUSTRALIAN MATCH. By Telegraph.— rresi Association — Copyri«ht. ,SYDNEY, 30th June. The first flying raco in Außtra.Ua took place between Hart, an Australian, with a biplane, and A. B. Stone, an American, using a Metz monoplane. The, course was from Botany to Farramatta, a distance of 14i mile*. The raoe was won by Hart. Wind and I rain compelled him to make a wide oir- i cult. EJjtone^ did not finish. He lost his way in ' a rain-cloud, and on 'emerging front it followed tho wrong course. AIRMAN KILLED. '. BERLIN, 29th June. • While Herr Skhadfc was flying at MuelI hausen, in Alsace-Lorraine, ho fell 800 feet and was killed.
