Buttor. — Tho market for colonial butters is stagnant, and quotations are only nominal. Cheese. — On a dull market Now Zealand white oheooo is 2s 6d to 3s 6d lower at 68s 6d per cwt; oolourod, 2s to 3s lowor at 70s. Sugar. — Tho sugar market is weaker. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., have roceivoa cablo advice from their London office under duto of tho 27th inst. in regard to the following markets : — Frozen Meat.— The market is weak. Smco our last cable prices for lamb are id per lb lower, mutton id per lb lowor, and beef id-jjd per ib lower. It i* expected that any chango in prices that takoß place will be in favour of buyers. Tallow. — Since our last cable prices are 3d cwt higher, but the market remains quier. Wool Sales. — In regard to the series opening on tho 2nd July, everything possible ib being done to carry out tho programme arranged, but it is feaTed that, owing to the continuation of the strike, it may bo impossible to do so. The markot is very firm, especially for merinos.
