At the New Zealand Association annual meeting, motions in favour of promoting reciprocal , trade between New Zealand and Australia axid removing restrictions in regard to Australian currency in New Zealand were passed. Lord Islington and Sir Joseph Ward were elected patrons, and Mr. Owen Cox president.
