THE TERRACE LAUNDRY.
The progressive development of every branch of domestic industry within recent years is in no way more apparent than in the operations of laundry work, in which the various processes of cleansing by mechanical means have now reached a stage of perfection little short of marvellous as compared with the oriidoj and oftetl wasteful, methods prevoilittg in former years. This beneficial Improvement is very amply exemplified in the Terrace Laundry, conducted at Terrace 4 End, Palmerston, by Mrs. Larsen, which occupies a Unique position among the industries of the town, -and is one of the best equipped establishments of tho kind in the country. It fills a long-felt want hi the community for properly washed and ironed clothing, 'and the sucoess of Mi's* Larßen'B venture in this direction has been of the most gratifying character- The premises- are fully equipped with the latest contrivances, and special attention is paid to the sanitary arrangements. Mrs. Larsen employs a large staff of assistants, and personally supervises all details of her over-inci'easlng trade, which fact is in no small degree responsible for her large clientele.
