LODGE MEETINGS
-Quartei- night all the Loyal Britannia Lodge,. LO.O.EJ, , M.U., last' evening was_a particularly busy-one^ both for oSicers • and. • members.- Bro. A. M. Salek, ■ who - presided*' addressed the lodge at length on the advisability of appointing a lecture-master, a course which was finally adopted. The election of officers for the ensuing six months resulted in Bro. R. O. Cooper being elected to the position of N.G., Bro. M. Walker to V.G., and Bro. J. E. Hon. driksen to E.S. The thanks of' the lodire are due to Bro. A. Perrin, P.P.Q.M. \\'ho gave the members a lectuve, both iiitelesting and instructive, on "Frieadly Societies 1 Dispensary -Work." During the evening several new members were initiated by Bro. Barrat, G.M., and. the lodge showed its appreciation of the G.M.'b services by electing hint Lecture Master for a further term of office. Before tha sick visitors' reports were received and the lodge formally closed, opportunity was taken by the'N.G. to cordially welcome visiting brothers from over the sea and elsewhere, after Which the G.M., in & neat speech* .made a presentation of a framed omblom to P.G.M. Bro. Faulkenor. tho lodge's appreciation of a member's ulteution to duty.
