The following report has been issued for the fortnight ending 4th May :—: — No. 12 Level. — Stoping : The values from the stopes off No. 12 winze average £7 6s 9d.No. 13 Level. — No. 3 crosscut : The north drive off the crosscut has been extended 37ft, total 96ft; width of reef, 21in, values low. No. 16 >Yinze.— Sunk 23ft, total 75ft ; width of reef 48in, values average £2 9s 7d. The values from atopeo off No. 12 rise average £3 Is; 110 tons sent to mill. The values from etopes off No. 16 rise average £3 3s Id ; 280 tone sent to mill. No. 14 Level.— No. 12 winze : The south drive off the winze has been advanced 12ft. total 110 f t; width of reef 42in. values average £2 15s 7d. The north drive has been extended 23ft, total 104 ft; width of reef 42in. values average £10 126. The values from stopes off No. 8 ike average £9 3s ; 170 tone sent to mill. A leading stope is being driven northward from No. 6 winze; the values from this average £12 Is 9d ; 140 tons • sent to mill. Woodstock slfaft has been sunk 18ft, total 328 f t; no change to report. OLD HAURAKI. 1 Tlie- four- weeks' return from the OKI Hauraki mine for the treatment of 30 tons of quurtz and 1001b of picked stone was 209 of melted gold. This should be worth about JBblO.
