E VIDENCE OF MANAGER OF WHITE STAR LINE PROVISION OF BOATS LEFT TO THE BUILDERS. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. (Received June 7, 11 a.m.) LONDON, 6th June. The enquiry into the loss of the Ti-tanic-was resumed. Mr. Sanderson, manager of the White Star Lino, continued his evidence. He said it was left to the builders to provide boat accommodation in conformity with the Government regulations. The Titanic was sufficiently manned. The company's firemen generally, not considering it to be part of their duty, refused to attend boat drills. t LESSONS LEARNED FROM THE DISASTER. U.S. COMMERCE DEPARTMENT'S • REGULATIONS. WASHINGTON, 6th June. The United States Commerce Department is issuing regulations, based on the lessons learned from the Titanic disaster, compelling lake and coasting vessels to comply with the ocean-going regulation* covering the numbers of lifebelts and lifeboats 'to be carried.
