INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION ALLEGED EXAGGERATED CLAIMS* By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyrieht. (Received June 7, 9 ajn.) LONDON, 6th June, The International Congress of Insurance Brokers being held to discuss the improvement of insurance practices, received a cablegram expressing the good wishes of the New ,Jsouth Wales Association. A discussion on the question of insurance under the Workmen's Compensation Act revealed the fact that exaggerated claimc are growing. Th* companies, it was stated, found it difficult to make profit or adjust rates to cover risks. A resolution was passed against State competition in insurance, as being directly, opposed to the interests of the peopla. It was also resolved that municipal insurance was in-efficient and costly, and detrimental to the ratepayers.
