The steamer Vosburg stranded at the entrance of the Nehalen River, and heavy seas broke over her the entire night. It was impossible to rescue the crew as the combers swept the Vosburg and made a great hole in her bowß. Finally, after hour 6of effort, the Government life-saving crew put off in a lifeboat and managed to rescue the crew, who were in the las^ stages of exhaustion.
