The 'battery treated 412 tons of ore during the pa«t four-weekly period ending 27th April, for a. return of bullion valued at £520. Owing to tho battery being (stopped for alterations, this really lepresents three weeks' crufching. The reef in the north end is n've to six feet wide, and the ore aeeays well above the payable line. Work has been suspended at tha bottom level owing to the scarcity of mineie.
