THE KING'S THEATRE.

Topical kinomatograph pictures always have a special interest of their own, and one now showing at The King's Theatre ia unique in this reaped. It k a lengthy film, .showing the rescue of the crew of the City of Cardiff by a rocket brigade on the (Jornish coast. The .v<»eel «lowly pounding ilaelf to pieces on tho rocks far below, the anxious crowd, anu the thin rope which holds a lifo every time the breeches-buoy is hauled along it — all theee make a- picture of inteneo interest. The last man to land, perhaps tho captain, comes along the rope smiling, with a, portmanteau in either hand. So rough is the eea that it moves the steamer many feet with each wave, making the rope on which the buoy ie slung taut at one minute, and at the next allowing it to slacken until it goes dangerously close to the rocks and sea beneath. Another class of 'picture, a dramatic etudy, called "Tho Meeting of the Ways," is a particularly well-acted drama. Two children in this photo-play act. with much naturalness, and the nlot of tho story is a good ono. Two brothere, at an American university, are parted owing to the expulsion of the younger one. They dritt apart, but the camera-man brings thejn together interestingly, and unravels the tangled threads of the plot. Other pictures, "Tho Loafer," a drama ; " Economy," and "Drummed Out," tho latter a lengthy problem play, a4d tv an iiiterestij2g
