On the mo<^on of the president, it was agreed that the seal of the association, be fixed to an agreement between the association and Messrs. Pascal Bros, in connection •with the transfer of a section at the back of'the show grounds to the association for a piece of land for the continuation of Cuba-street through the Education /reserve, at piesent held by the association. Eleven new members were elected. The president stated that Mr. B. Stevens had agreed to reconsider his resignation, • handed in at the last meeting. The Ground Committee recommittee recommended that a committee, comprising Messrs. Conway, Johnston, Dunck, M'Hardy, Gillies, Lancaster, and F. S. M'Eae be appointed to meet the auctioneers with the object of formulating a scheme for the holding of an annual ram fair at Palmerston North. The Tecommendation was adopted. Mr. Short moved that it be a recommendation to the incoming committee that* a tub-committee be appointed to draw up a list! of names of those who would be likely to serve the best interests of the association by being placed on the schedules. They ought, he said to have some new blood ou some of these committees. The resolution was carried. A deputation from the Manawatu Hunt Club waited on the association in regard to the Hunters' Competition. Mr. Collinson stated that they wished to ■ make the event a*' attractive- as possible, and also to advance the interests of the Hunt Club. He would like to see it made a. championship competition,, and the riders attired in military or hunting <o3tume, the event to be open only to qualified hunters. The matter was referred to the House Schedule Committee. A motion by Mr. J. M. Johnston, that the annual meeting be held iduring the "Winter Show, was lost.
