The General Council of Irish. County Councils reports that the financial clauses of the Home Rule Bill are unsatisfactory, and need -drastic amendment. The minimum demand, the report says, must include Ireland's retention of all her taxes, subject to a 9 per centum contribution to Great Britain, and the Irish Parliament's control of all Irish services. The Duko of Devonshire, Lord Midleton, and the Earl of Kerry addressed an enthusiastic Munster anti-Home Rulers' demonstration at Cork.
