Mr. Bathgate, of the Crown Law Ollice, said that the Moresby was being towed through the bridge by the tugs Emu and Storm King, and the strong wind that was blowing carried her on, to the dolphin of the bridge, inflicting damage to the extent of about £14 10s. The \esbel should not have left the wharf -wlthoafc being under steam. Defendant, who pleaded guilty, t>aid that the strong south-easterly wind carried him into the bridge. A fine of £2 was imposed, with 6s costs, or in default 14 days' imprisonment. The Ennerdale left Auckland yesterday for Creymotith, where she i» to load timber for Melbourne and Warrnainbool. On completion of her discharge at the latter port she will proceed to Tasmania to load for Sydney. H.M.S.
