Y.M.C.A., BOYS' DEPARTMENT.
The V.M.C.A. senior boys' cricket team, who won the .Wellington Boys' League championship, wero tendered a "social" in the boys room on Saturday evening. Mr. Walton occupied the chair. Dr. Izard, president of the Boys' Cricket League, presented the trophies, each member of the team being presented with a silver medal, the best bowler aaid bateman also receiving a medal each. Tho cup, donated by His Excellency the Governor for competition in the Boys' League, %vas presented to the captain. Bruce Mabin, the team's coach, was presented with a little cluck, in appreciation «j£ his services. Thei following rendered items during the evening . — Mr. C. Atkinson (recitation) ; quartette, members of the Old Boys' Club. Mr. AY. Jennings acted as pianist, and a lengthy toast-list was gone, through. Short addresses were given by Messrs. Kersley and the chairman.
