THE BAILLIE EXHIBITION.
i> j SPLENDID DISPLAY ASSURED. In a few days the Baillie collection of pictures will be all in 'proper order on the transformed walls of the Harbour Board's big U Gtore. The interior of tho building will be changed beyond the recognition of ordinary users of the place. Art is taking an admirable re.venge for the wool sales that occurred long ago in the Whitmore-street gallery The walk of the store have been tinted and draped pleasantly to permit tho pictures to look as well a 6 their makers could wish. This will be the largest exhibition of its kind ever witnessed in Wellington. It is an opportunity for citizens to see some of the best that Britain's artists can offer. It is only in Wellington that the full strength of the pictures will be visible. At the close of the exhibition here the collection will be divided, as time will not allow Mr. Baillie to show the whole of it in the other centres.
